[Suggestion] New application process

To join CTK you will have to:

a) Post an application on this forum.

b) Have *accepted* 1v1 matches and post screenshots and demos (to download a demo, press F10 after the game has finished and you are on the following map). It doesn't matter what you play as long as you stick to official maps. Include at least one T/DM or flag game.

c) Get taken as a *tryout member* by a council member (this will be decided by the council members depending on the skill and attitude of the applicant)

d) Get a 2/3 majority of votes on your application after you have been taken as a trial.

*accepted* = An accepted 1v1 contains of at least 2 games on official maps, one map-mode-side is your pick, the other is the other player's pick. If a third match has to be played to decide a winner you can either have one player pick the mode and the other the map or you can just try to come to a decision on what to play for the third match.

*tryout member* = If you're selected as a tryout member, it would mean you have skipped the first step of joining CTK. If you become a tryout member you would put your AC name with a T after the tag. Ex. =CTK=[T]Wolf.

- Please also post a reason for your voting decision and only vote after you have played the person and/or know him/her. Keep in mind that CTK strives to be a high-level skill team and we don't want to grow exceptionally huge - so don't vote for people just because you like them, but also don't vote for people if you don't like them. -

I think the post of Acropolips about CTK new rules are good therefore they won't be replaced by this rules if they are approved by votes of the members. It would be smarter merging them trying to come up with brilliant ideas.

Vote carefully, depending on what you want. If there are certain or a rule that you disagree with, it can be gladly discussed to be able to come up with something everyone agrees on.

Notice also how the CTK Rules and Application Template have been edited.
I modified it to make it sound better and also less strict, so we sound as a more inviting and warm community.

About A, NO NO NO.

We decide based on multiple factors, not that they beat us. They dont have to beat us to get in. Otherwise few would get in. Delete A.

And i really dont like the tryout thing :/

tryout is a good thing, cuz u can always see them improving or the other way... and also they can change their minds easily, so giving a full member right away is not that good for this.

I have to admit that looks pretty discouraging. I would like to think that i am developing into a pretty good player. I get along with everyone i meet in game. However you guys have years of time in and for me to just go and beat 3 members...

I am patiently waiting for my time to test for membership, I have made good friends with you guys and enjoy playing with you all. As you can imagine it would bring me great pride to tag =CTK=.

Anyways, think about it, just my feedback.

If you do a Trainee member, or Tryout.. id suggest just putting the Tag after there name so you know. Cause what you suggested would take character spaces away, i have a long name so any more wouldnt fit. My name used to be StinkyTaint and i changed it to fit your Tag.

Tryout member example: StinkyT8nt=CTK=
Member example: =CTK=StinkyT8nt

What about changing your name to Stinky while you're wearing the [T] tag and once you're in you can change back to StinkyT3nt? Or is too much of a bother?

Stinky once you read this, I just want to modify some rules that'll go just for you. We won't make you a tryout member since you're far after that step, so we'll just keep in mind the rule of 1v1 with screenshot and demo with at least two matches in official maps and one being T/DM or flag match.
